What is your favorite craft item/tool? My Circuit Expression

What is your favorite paper line? DCWV, I’ve never bought any online so I’m sure over time that may change.

What is your favorite color? Oh I guess if I had to choose it would be shades of Brown & Olive. My wardrobe is shades of brown, olive and black. I definitely need a wardrobe makeover.

How is your craft room decorated? Ha I’m a Twilight Fan I have framed Eclipse pictures and my favorite straw hats on my walls. Oh and my room & wall unit is painted in shades of brown.

Are you an animal person? LOL a huge Yes! We have 2 cats and 3 dogs Moses a fawn 14 yr old pug, Elvis a black 4yr old pug and Ryder a 4 yr old Basset Hound.

Do they have a place in your craft room? I don’t usually let them in, because it’s a small room and they love to camp out by my feet. If I’m coloring an image I do it in the living room so they can be beside me.

Favorite Disney movie? Wow that’s too hard to choose, I like so many of them I couldn't pick just one.

Favorite music? Country is what I listen to most, but I love all kinds of music. Classical, Top 40, Tejano. It just depends what mood I’m in. Right now my favorite cd is Twilight soundtrack.

Beach or snow vacation? Definitely the Beach! I love Saint Simon’s Island and their beautiful beaches off the Coast of Georgia .

Sweet or savory snacks? I’d say Sweet, through I try not to keep any in the house except for a few bars of chocolate, just in case a craving hits.

What is your favorite craft medium? Do I have to pick just one? I absolutely love paper! Hubby says I am a paper fanatic! I love clay too, though. Hubby and I make custom action figures together an use a lot of clay for molding different body parts and facial features.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? My favorite scrap item/tool are punches. I had to admit it, but I am a punch fanatic!

What is your favorite paper line/company? K & C Company, and DCWV

What is your favorite color(s)? Purple is my favorite, but I love pink and black combo, too.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? I have an attic room with the steeple roof, so I really can't do much in the way of decorating. At this point, I'm just happy to have my own space!

Are you an animal person? I love animals. Especially dogs.

What is your favorite Disney movie? There have been so many new ones out that are wonderful. But my first "favorite" disney movie was Beauty and The Beast.

Do you watch TV/Movies while working? I watch TV while on the computer, but when working in my scraproom, I usually listen to music.

Do you get your inspiration from them? Ive been known to do that on occasion! I made two cards recently that were TV show inspired.

Sweet or Savory snacks? Savory. I don't eat many sweets.

Scary or Romantic movies? Comedies are my favorite, but if I had to choose between scary or romantic, I'd choose romantic.

Beach or Snow vacations? Definitely beach!

Favorite type of music? Mostly 70's and 80's rock, some country.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? My "room" is one half the lower level of my house and it's decorated with my awards I've won bowling the last 30 years and my I Love Lucy collection.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Don't believe I have a favorite Disney movie
Do you watch TV/Movies while working? I watch sports while working
Do you get your inspiration from them? Sometimes, especially if my team(s) win
Sweet or Savory snacks? Chocolate, so I guess the answer is sweet
Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic but I prefer dramas
Beach or Snow vacations? I live in the midwest so there is no way I would take a vacation where there's snow, I don't swim so I don't go near water, most of my vacations are centered around bowling.
Favorite type of music? R&B and it's safe to say I like anything and everything ever recorded by the Temptations

How is your craftroom decorated? Right now it is a shared space with my husbands hunting stuff so the decorations are a bunch of various hides and deer heads looking at me! CREEPY! We are building a house right now though and once we move I will have my very own room! YAY!

Are you an animal person? Yes, I have a chocolate lab and a chinchilla. I used to have pygmy goats and bunnies too!

Do they have a place in your craftroom? Uh, not exactly. Only the hunted "decorations".

Favorite Disney movie? I still enjoy watching Disney movies as an adult but I would have to say a good classic is Mary Poppins

Favorite music? Anything except techno or rap music

What is your favorite craft medium? Digital images! I love all things crafty but digital images have completly changed my whole way of crafting. I am never bored or run out of ideas now.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? That changes a lot but right now its a new craft knife I just got that fits around your finger. I had so much trouble controlling my other pen shaped ones and this one is a breeze, I love it.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I am not reallly dedicated to a certain company, I just find papers I like and buy them. But I guess my favorite papers I have ever gotten were from Club Scrap and they were designed by Michael Strong, who I am a huge fan of. I won them from his blog and I have only used them once, lol, I have threatened to frame them because they are so gorgeous and I dont want to use them up.

What is your favorite color(s)? Pink is my favorite, but I love green almost as much.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc. haphazard, lol. Its an ongoing process. I just got a dedicated craftroom about a year ago. Before that it was whereever I could set a table up long enough to work on a project. My son left for the army last June and I took over his room so its still not like I want it but its all mine and that wonderful.

Are you an animal person? Most definetly! Do they have a place in your scraproom? As you can see from my photo, my cat George fits right in. If I am in my craftroom he is too. In fact he spends more time in here than I do, he likes to sleep in here on my footstool when I am not in here.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Aladdin Do you watch TV/Movies while working? No tv in my craftroom. I like music when I am crafting. Do you get your inspiration from them? I draw inspiration from commercials. You know they are all about color and design and I will often see a color combo or they way they have something laid out and go oh hey I could add that to a card.

Sweet or Savory snacks? Combo, my fav right now is a combo of sesame sticks and yogurt raisins.

Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic comedy is my favorite kind of movies.

Beach or Snow vacations? I dont like the cold and I burn really easily. So if I am at a beach I have to sit with a blanket around me, way fun, lol. I like the country, so lakes, picnics, lots of trees and shade.

Favorite type of music? Right now glee radio, on aol radio. I am a huge Glee fan and I love to listen to the music played on there.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I don't have a favorite line/company. If I see a paper that I like that I can picture as a scrapbook page or on a card I buy it.

What is your favorite color(s)? My favorites are pink & sage....I use a lot of lighter colors

How do you have your scraproom decorated? My scraproom is part of a wall in our bedroom that my hubby made a desk and put up shelves for me. And it has some 3 drawer totes underneath the desk to keep supplies in. Just a small area but big enough to get creative at.

Are you an animal person? Yes. We have a tiger cat named Yoda

What is your favorite Disney movie? There are a bunch of Disney movies that I like. But to narrow it down to my favorite I would have to say either Mary Poppins or Alice in Wonderland

New Image Release Day!!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Things are hectic here with the end of the school semester drawing to a close but what a relief Friday will be!!!

The Design Team Princesses have been hard at work with our 2 newest images Muddy Buddy and Summertime Treats. Muddy buddy can be either a bear or a puppy, didn't really think about it but one of our talented ladies did him as a puppy and he looks just like one!

These images this week were inspired by my dogs playing in the mud after getting new grass in the yard this past weekend and my watering it in left large mud puddles for them to dig and splash in. Summertime Treats was inspired by my 2 year old nephew Maverick having his hands full of picnic goodies and the ice cream running down his arms and dripping on the ground. Robin Rawlinsturned her SummerTime Treats bear into a Girl!! Love the pretty Pink Bow! Also really love the way she was colored to look fuzzy. Don't you just want to touch her? Great job Robin!

Ruth used both images this week! Look at that Mucky Puppy!! Love the papers and the muddy doggie!! So Cute! Also, what a great Tag Book with SummerTime Treats! Love the faux stitching! This would make a great notepad, mini scrapbook, etc. SUPER!

This week our Guest Designer is Daisychain! She has chosen to create a RECIPE Challenge for us this week! Recipe: 3 Buttons; 2 Papers; 1 Ribbon. Take a look at the SUPER CUTE example card!! This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!

Daisychain, aka Christine, has provided us with some "Get To Know You" questionnaire answers so let's take a moment to meet Christine!

What is your favorite craft medium? Watercolour pencils. I find I can control them better than inks or paints, and I don't make such a mess.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? Without a doubt my Cuttlebug and Wizard Nestabilities. I don't know how I managed before I got them.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I don't have a favourite as such, it depends what catches my eye. I do, however, use quite a few freebie downloads as I'm on a very tight budget. I like Montis Pixel Playground, Joni Gray and Summertime Designs. (I have used Montis Pixel Playground papers on my sample card).

What is your favorite color(s)? I love the soft look of pastels and use them a lot but I also like to use black & white, sometimes with a shock of bright colour thrown in. I'm a typical Gemini so I tend to like opposite looks depending on my mood.

How do you have your scrapboom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc. My craft room is the second largest bedroom in the house and is decorated in 'tropical' colours. The walls are lime green and curtains are lime, orange & yellow. The furniture is a mix of pine & beech. Sometimes, when the weather is good, it even feels tropical.

Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scraproom? I'm definately an animal person who has had animals all my life. Until recently I had 2 cats and a dog. Unfortunately this year I lost both of my gorgeous cats, they were 20yrs and 19yrs old. I am just getting used to them not being here. The dog is always in the craft room or at the top of the stairs when I am crafting.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Do you watch TV/Movies while working? Do you get your inspiration from them? I always liked the Disney films that had a young Hayley Mills in, good family films. The only time I watch TV while working is when I am colouring in images downstairs. I tend to listen to the radio in my craft room. I don't think I get inspiration from them for my cards.

Sweet or Savory snacks? Chocolate and more chocolate!

Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic. My favourite is 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' and anything else with Alan Rickman in. I also like to watch family type films like 'Nanny McPhee' and the old 'Ealing Comedys'.

Beach or Snow vacations? I live 10 minutes walk from the beach but tend to go there mainly in the winter. I prefer to spend summer in the countryside. I can't stand the cold snow, I prefer to be warm.

Favorite type of music? Rock music (big 'Queen' fan), Classical and Country

In looking at my vast inventory of papercrafting supplies last night I decided to put together a Basic Grey Blog Candy! I love it all, but probably K&Company.

Rainbow Kaleidoscope?! I love all colours.

Modern and Clean. Sky Blue walls, and lots of light and cupboards.

I Adore animals. I own 1 outdoor dog a Siberian Husky called Molly. 1 indoor Ginger Cat called Pushka. 1 Pink and Grey Galah/ Parrot named Paddy that has his own aviary, and was 2 but now 1, Mouse thats cage is safe in the craftroom away from the housecat!

Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scraproom? We have a rabbit, two guinea pigs and a cat. So I could say I am a animal person.

I don't watch tv but I listen to the radio all the time.

Now, for this week's Challenge!!! Are ya READY? Deb Neerman is this week's Guest Designer and boy is her example card CUTE! She also gave several examples of which type of challenge this card could be used for! Yay! Join more Challenges!!!

I'm thinking that this card project could represent any of the following challenges:
1. A color challenge (strictly black & red & one neutral);
2. A challenge to use chipboard;
3. A challenge to create a graduation card or gift;
4. A challenge to use numbers and/or letters on your project;
5. A challenge to use recycled/upcycled items (a vintage dictionary page
was used here);
6. A challenge to create a "vintage-inspired" project.
OR, any combination of the above.

What is your favorite craft medium? Stamps ... closely followed by Designer paper!

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? Photoshop ... I'm a digital scrapper. Which is just a fancy way of continuing my paper-hoarding ways.

What is your favorite paper line/company? Now that's a tough question, lol! I am the consummate paper hoarder and I love me some paper but I usually find myself purchasing paper by BasicGrey, Cosmo Cricket, My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon, Stampin' Up! and Webster Pages. Using it? Well, that's a whole 'nother thing ... we'd need a shrink and years of therapy to figger that out!

What is your favorite color(s)? As for combinations, I love to pair up turquoise and brown, black, or orange! I also love working with a crisp red, white, and blue color combination ... and almost any bright color with black. On their own, I love cobalt, turquoise, and indigo blue color tones.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? LOL, now THAT'S funny! I have no decorating theme or style going on AT ALL in my studio. It is literally packed from floor to ceiling with supplies. Every available inch of wall space is dedicated to storage, including ink pad and refills and rubber stamp storage. I also have a full-to-overflowing 6' x 4' closet dedicated to storage. I have a bit of leg room under my work table, otherwise, it's all storage. I have lower kitchen cabinets installed in my studio and they are packed with card stock and patterned paper. I have a mini-mountain of paper scraps saved in large storage bins, as well as a seven-drawer wheeled Iris storage system full of nothing but punches. Even my doors are utilized as storage space. People are pretty much speechless when they come into my studio for the first time. And I won't bore you with mention of all of the vintage ephemera, vintage toys of all types, vintage pens and pen nibs, vintage fabric and sewing notions, vintage games and game playing pieces, or vintage photographs and cabinet cards I have packed in there as well! And yet, I keep buying more ...

Are you an animal person? I love all animals ... especially wildlife. I live in sub-tropical South Florida and live w-a-y out in the country surrounded by every kind of animal and bird you can imagine would live in this climate ... including alligators and all kinds of lizards, storks, hawks, and eagles and even the occasional wild boar. Every day, I see something new and beautiful to admire. As far as in the home, I'm a kitty-person, kept by two gorgeous Persians: Bob, a 14 year-old Lilac Point Persian, and Gabby, a 6 year-old Dilute Calico Persian.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Omigosh, "Monsters, Inc." for sure! And while I rarely buy movies, this is one that I had-to-have.

Do you watch TV/Movies while working? No, I'm too easily distracted ... LOOK, something shiny!

Do you get your inspiration from them? If I do, it's subliminal.

Sweet or Savory snacks? I've never met a snack that I didn't like! Especially chocolate ...

Scary or Romantic movies? Definitely romantic. I can't watch scary movies, they absolutely terrify me while watching them and later gift me with horrible nightmares. Really, I'm 6 years old ...

Beach or Snow vacations? I live in beach heaven, and love the heat, so no question: the beach!

Favorite type of music? Almost anything but whatever it is, it has to be listened to at sound-barrier-breaking levels.

Now lets get to know Kerstin!

I do different kinds of crafting but most of the time I work with paper doing cards or atc's.
Usually I try to combine multiple challenges in one card. It’s like as challenge in the challenge. But I mostly keep the number of combinations between 4 and 6 challenges.
My preferred types of challenges are color combinations and simple sketches.
My favorite images are cute animal stamps. Also I still use rubber stamps; I changed to use clear stamps more often because of the better handling when combining multiple images in one picture. For similar reasons, ease of use and flexibility, I started using digistamps quite often.
Distressing with Inks, Embossing and Paper Piecing are my favorite techniques.
My inspirations come mostly during hopping from challenge blogs to challenge blog or searching through the online shops.
I love listening Audio books, mostly Fantasy and Thriller Genre, during making cards.
With regards to movies Disney, at least the animation movies, are not in the upper rang of my favorites. I prefer Adventure, Fantasy and Thriller movies. Some of my all-time favorite movies are Sleepy Hollow, Dragon Heart and Pretty Woman.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I don't have a favorite line/company. If I see a paper that I like that I can picture as a scrapbook page or on a card I buy it.

What is your favorite color(s)? My favorites are pink & sage....I use a lot of lighter colors

How do you have your scraproom decorated? My scraproom is part of a wall in our bedroom that my hubby made a desk and put up shelves for me. And it has some 3 drawer totes underneath the desk to keep supplies in. Just a small area but big enough to get creative at.

Are you an animal person? Yes. We have a tiger cat named Yoda

What is your favorite Disney movie? There are a bunch of Disney movies that I like. But to narrow it down to my favorite I would have to say either Mary Poppins or Alice in Wonderland

I clean it up and mess it up and clean it up...my husband put up some really nice shelving in the closet and I have a huge 4' by 6' storage cabinet by Best Organizers that he got me for Valentine's day too...but it is still a disaster!

Do they have a place in your scraproom? Absolutely not...no fur and teeth around my stuff...that goes for my girls and husband too.

What is your favorite color(s)? I love bright colors - purples and pinks and greens, anything bright

How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc. I am lucky enough to have a spare room dedicated to my crafting. I have orange beaded curtains hanging up and the room is decorated with my artwork. It's definitely homey!

Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scraproom? I have 2 cats - they do not have a place in my stamp room - I do not like flying fur stickin' to my stuff! LOL

What is your favorite Disney movie? Do you watch TV/Movies while working? Do you get your inspiration from them? My favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland! I do not watch movies while working, but I do get my inspiration from everything around me. I cannot watch movies or TV, look at magazines or ads, without thinking "I could make a card like that...." :)

Sweet or Savory snacks? Do I have to choose one or the other?? My 2 favorite snacks are Snyder Buffalo Wing Flavored pretzel pieces and Reese's peanut butter eggs.

Scary or Romantic movies? Scary - but not bloody, gory scary! I like creepy, makes-you-think-scary!

Beach or Snow vacations? Oh definitely beach. I live in New England - I get enough snow.

Favorite type of music? Rock, hard rock.

I am 38 years old. My husband's name is Jeremy and we have 2 kids. Our son Trevor is 16 1/2 and our daughter Cassidy will be 15 next month. I work full-time during the week as the Bursar of a small local private college. I also volunteer with an organization called Audrey's Umbrella (http://www.braintrust.org/umbrella.htm) - we send "happy mail" to patients who are battling brain tumors. I use a lot of the cards I create for this purpose. I have been stamping and making cards for 8 years now. I absolutely love making cards, but I also enjoy making things like bookmarks, magnets, and tea-bag cards. I also enjoy altering items. The time I spend in my craft room is like my therapy - it leaves me feeling relaxed and accomplished!

What is your favorite craft medium? I received some Copics for Christmas and I just LOVE them! BC (Before Copics) I used watercolor pencils. I still use them but now I often combine them with Copics.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? I use a Cuttlebug a lot. I really like that it cuts and embosses. I almost always use pop dots on my cards. I love the added dimension they bring

What is your favorite paper line/company? DCWV (Die Cut With a View)

What is your favorite color(s)? Blue is my favorite, but I use a lot of pink on my cards.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? I had a scraproom when one of my sons moved out, but another son moved back home, so "Good bye, scraproom!". I create at the diningroom table now. I do have a large storage cabinet for supplies nearby.

Are you an animal person? I LOVE cats! At one time we had four. They have since moved on to Cat Heaven. My hubby gave me the nickname "Cat".

What is your favorite Disney movie? "Sleeping Beauty" is my all time favorite! But I am partial to "Peter Pan"! Wendy is my cousin, you know! Giggles! I got a Netflix subscription from my son for Christmas, and I enjoy watching movies while making cards. But I don't get inspiration so much from movies. I enjoy going to Dollar stores. I get a lot of inspiration there, because I always find something that can be altered.

This is the project that CatDarling submitted to the Challenge this week which was to use many score lines. Fits beautifully! Love all the bright colors and the SO cute bugs! And who wouldn't want to get this as a gift? I would take it empty, hint, hint... =)

We here in South Central Texas rarely get cold weather and almost never snow but it is snowing up a storm here right now! While entering the info for our new challenge my son decided to bean me in the back of the head with a snowball and missed getting my computer instead. My computer is drying out right now (and he had better hope and pray that is all it needs) so I am trying to finish this on his laptop! Problem is my pictures of the Random.org winner and the Sketch for this next challenge are on my computer. I will keep checking it until it boots up I promise!

For the next challenge we have a SKETCH. There is a large scalloped circle with a smaller smooth side circle inside for your image. There is a grouping of flowers at the bottom left and a ribbon running across the bottom. There is a swirl that comes up out of the flowers. Sorry guys! These images are also on my work computer so if mine is dead I will get these two pictures up at work tomorrow for sure.

We will give everyone who joins this challenge a FREE image. Yep, that's right, EVERYONE who joins this challenge gets a FREE image of their choice. The DT Princesses will still choose someone to be our Featured Artist too. That person will also get 2 additional images, and as usual, the Random.org winner will as well.

Yes I have two ginger and white cats, 1 male called Felix and 1 female called Amber and my daughter has a dwarf lion head rabbit called Tigger. I'm allergic to dogs.

Don't really have a favourite, its a long time since I watched any Disney films. I don't watch films whilst card making as I like really concentrate on what I am making.

Sweet or Savory snacks? Savoury, I particularly love nuts and crisps.

Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic comedies, especially anything with Hugh Grant in it.

Beach or Snow vacations? Beach, I'd love to go back to The Maldives

Below is a box containing flowers (this blog doesn't like the inside shot and gives me a red X everytime I try to load it so just take my word!!) and a great note pad on top. The printed the image in black and white and placed it under the opaque cover so you can see it and it ties in with the colored image. Love the ladybug buttons!

Are you an animal person? Yes I like animals, we have a cockatiel, 2 rabbits and the newest member is Rusty our German Shepherd X . Do they have a place in your scraproom? Not really but, Spunkey (cockatiel) lives in the house, Rusty has his area but sleeps outside at night and the rabbits have the laundry on very warm days.
What is your favorite Disney movie? Sorry can’t pick a favourate, they all make me laugh, cry and smile.
Do you watch TV/Movies while working? The TV what’s that!

Well, I have a huge desk n with all my goodies in drawers. I like to bye things that are pink, that’s why I love my pink crop a dile so much!

I love animals, and I had a little beautiful brown dog, here name was sindy and she was with us for 18 years!

There is only place for scrap in my scrap room : )

What is your favorite craft medium? I like using prima flowers and
prima kisses, along with bright colored or fancy brads.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? My favorite tool is my Big Kick
machine. I love die cutting and putting things together!

What is your favorite paper line/company? It's impossible to choose
just one line. I like Mulberry paper for it's texture and versatility
and also, K & Co., Bazzil and Doodlebug Sugar Coated paper.

What is your favorite color(s)? All the blue hues, pinks and bright
tropicals!

How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey,
contempo, etc. My "craft room" is in my living room/den which is semi
decorated with a tropical theme going on dominated by flamingos.

Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scraproom? I am
definitely an animal person. My 2 indoor dogs are usually right by my
side, sleeping, as I sit at my table scrapbooking.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Favorite Disney movie is Lady and
the Tramp.

Do you watch TV/Movies while working? Sometimes I watch/listen to news
programs such as 48 hours, dateline, etc... Do you get your inspiration
from them? Not so much.

Sweet or Savory snacks? I like the combination of both: like ice cream
and potatoe chips or nuts.

Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic, with a happy ending. I can't watch
scary, my imagination works overtime enough now. I don't need to add
fuel to the fire! LOL

Beach or Snow vacations? Without a doubt, beach! Give me sand, sun and
sea! I'm there! I can hear retirement calling!

Favorite type of music? I love all types, but oldies and reggae get me
moving and creating! The juices flow to that type of music!

Now, the creators of Doodle Palace are currently seeking 8 to10 FUN, TALENTED, and CREATIVE designers to provide unique and inspiring interpretations using our digi stamps each week. Previous design team experience is not necessary and this call is open to both U.S. and International Card/Project Makers. The designers will join our team for a 4 month period. And best of all, you get 4 months worth of FREE digital stamps to use indefinitely! (You may apply even if you were on our Design Team in the past, and you may also be a member of other Design Teams.)

Well, because of the 2 week break from work we let the challenge run for 2 weeks so there are 2 winners! What is your favorite craft medium? Really enjoy my chalk inks and Prismacolor pencils but I just can't live without my Stickles/Glitter.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool? Would have to be my Cuttlebug, embossing folders and Spellbinders dies.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I have t to get my hands on any paper that I didn't love. I guess K&Company, Basic Grey and Bo Bunny would be my favorites.

What is your favorite color(s)? Green and Earth Tones for home decorating and for crafting I like all colors and use a lot of green, pink, purple and blue.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc.? Pretty much I just go with the comfortable and functional look in my craft room.. I really do have a place for everything so I can find what I want when I want it. My craft room is in the basement with no windows so to brighten things up a bit I have lots and lots of sunflowers for decorations.

Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scrap room? I don't have any pets.

What is your favorite Disney movie? I have 6 grandkids and I do enjoy seeing lots of good Disney movies with them. But there isn't one that stands out as my all time favorite.
Do you watch TV/movies white working? I used to watch HGTV shows but now I just listen to the radio because it is less distracting when I am being creative.
Do you get your inspiration from them? I get inspiration from everywhere....nature, fabric, clothing, art and all magazines (not only craft ones) and of course from my blog friends. There are lots of times ideas pop into my head out of nowhere.

Sweet or savory snacks? Both....I really love my chocolate and nuts and usually have a little fix of both everyday.

Scary or Romantic movies? No scary stuff for me. I like a fun and silly romantic comedy or just a good old tear jerker.

Beach or snow vacations? I am really not allthat fond of the winter and cold. I do love the beach when I can get there, but there aren't any beaches in Kansas.

Favorite type of music? Oldies from the 60's to the 80's.

This week the cards were just FANTASTICK!!! Our Design Team Princesses are AWESOME!! Please take a moment to look over their creations using our new images. Robin has 2 SUPER cute bears, one is holding a flower pot and the other is holding a heart! I chose to try something a little different and have created 3 different borders. A dog themed border with bone, biscuit and ball; a kitty themed border with yarn and mice and a star border. ENJOY!!!

Denise Lynn of Stamping with Denise used the Doggy Border and incorporated another image Doggie Stocking, for this sensational Christmas card! Love the soft fluffy stocking top!!

in your scraproom? We have 2 black Labrador dogs, but they’re not allowed inside. They’re way too big!
What is your favorite Disney movie? Do you watch movies/tv while working? My favourite Disney movie of all time is ‘Beauty and the Beast”. I saw it at the cinema with my sister. My 3½ year old watches it now so I still get to enjoy it. A lot of the newer Disney movies are fantastic, I love ‘Cars’, it’s so cute and funny. And no, there’s no TV in my study/craft room.
Do you ever get your inpiration from tv/movies? Nature? Pets? Not so much. I think most of my inspiration comes from blog-world and magazines.
Sweet or Savory snacks? Both... mainly savoury, I love dip and biscuits!!
Scary or Romantic movies? I’m a huge chick-flick fan!! Love all those sweet endings and the cutesy parts throughout. I don’t mind watching a Scary flick either, so long as I have my pillow, the lights are on and there’s someone else sitting next to me!!
Beach or Snow vacations? We tend to holiday where we have family or friends living, and we now days go to Zoos and Family friendly tourist attractions. If I won an all-expenses-paid trip – I’d defiantly say Beach!!
Favorite type of Music? Easy listening classic rock. Favorite songs of all time, Kenny Rogers - The Gambler, Rick Springfield – Jessie’s Girl, Soft Cell – Tainted Love, Pat Brenetar – All Fired Up.... I could go on, and on, and on.....

She used chalk to color the sky, liquid applique on the roof and window sills, glue pen on the ground topped with glitter, accented the wreath and scarf with stickles, and lastly colored the house with chalk. This has been such a super week! We had 11 people join in this week! How Exciting! And...JanJay, you are our winner! Random.org chose #10 this week! THANKS so much to everyone who participated!!!

Ok, Ann is our Guest Designer this week! She has created a super cute example card using the Penguins digital stamp image. She would like for us to create a Winter/Christmas card with the predominent color being PURPLE. Use some FUZZY Ribbon if you've got it, buttons and snowflakes too! This is going to be great! There are SO many Winter/Christmas paper combos out there with purples! YAY!

Let's get to know Ann a little better, shall we.... =)
What is your favorite craft medium? I'll try most anything that comes to my attention. If it involves paper I'm good. Recently I've been having fun with Modge Podge.
What is your favorite scrap item/tool? This was a hard one. I ended up with my paper cutter. I can't cut straight for anything.
What is your favorite paper line/company? Piggy Tales, Imagenesce, Basic Grey, Coredinations, Bo Bunny - most anything. If I like the color or pattern I'll buy it.
What is your favorite color(s)? Purple has always been my favorite color but I don't scrap with that color often. Recently it has been light blue, yellow and brown.
How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc.? Currently my scraproom is the dining room. I'm waiting on some cabinets to come in to make a more permanent nook in the basement. I have a pretty traditional house.
Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scrapoom? have a dog, cat, fish, leapaleopardo and a recently deceased iguana. The dog's bed is in the dining room and the cat normally lays on the table.
What is your favorite Disney movie? Favorite Disney movie is probably Toy Story 1 and 2. Just silliness and creative imagination. Do you watch movies/tv while working? No tv in the dining room. Do you ever get your inpiration from tv/movies? Not so far. Nature? Love the seasons. I like to create with them. Pets? They just provide silly pics.
Sweet or Savory snacks? I like both either apart or together.
Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic comedies are my favorite.
Beach or Snow vacations? We used to do snow vacations before kids. Loved skiing. Now we do the beach. We'll do a one day trip for skiing close to our home.
Favorite type of Music? Most anything. I have lots of different types of CDs and stations programmed into my radio. I just don't like it loud.

Lisa Buttafuoco of Our 2 Angels in Heaven created a SUPER CUTE project this week using the Sledding Penguin. She created a Wine Bottle Tag/Hanger for Christmas Gift Giving! There is lots of glitter (snow) and the glittered snowflake brads are too cute! She used a glittery letter B in this example because that is the first letter of the gift recipeint's last name! Maria Matter of Joyful Stamper used Sledding Penguin this week. She used snowflake embossed paper, ribbon, white gel pen and "Homemade Snow"! Tracey Feeger of Booya Girl created 2 cards this week. One with Gingerbread Kids and One with Snowball Penguin! Love the color combo on the Gingerbread Kids! The coloring, the inking, the sentiment--all Fabulous! Look at the textured snowballs! Again, Love the coloring! Lovely snowflake paper!

Viv Pert of Doggone Crazy created two cards this week as well! She used Gingerbread Kids and Snowball Penguin! We love the paper choice on the Gingerbread Kids because of the color scheme. Not a traditional Christmas paper but what CUTE cookies this makes! Love the ribbons, the gems and glitter! The snowballs have been embossed to add dimension and texture! The red foil mesh ribbon is so COOL! So GREAT!!

Now for the NEW Challenge #11 by Juyle Botts! Create a Birthday Card for a NON SPORTY Boy between the ages of 11 and 16.

This is from Juyle: For my challenge, I hope this isn’t too narrow a theme, I have a 15 year old son who has cerebral palsy that inhibits his mobility and so he’s not really into sport. He spends a lot of time on the computer and console games with his friends online. I dread when my son comes home and asks for a birthday card for one of his friends, who like him aren’t into sports(even though able bodied) and prefer to play console and computer games online against each other.
My challenge is to create a birthday card for a non sporty boy between the ages of 11 and 16. I’m sure it’s a problem age for all crafters and as there are so many talented people out there I wondered what other fellow crafters would come up with. For my sons last birthday I created with a lot of trials and thrown away attempts this 3D cardboard DS games console I was quite pleased with it and it impressed my son.

I have tried to give instructions below on how to make a 3d DS if anyone wants to have a go and also have tried to scan in templates, I will try and make them make sense but I can’t promise, but I’m sure all those fab crafters will get the idea and probably make a better job than I did, it’s all for fun anyway isn’t it?

Use 2 sheets of A4 card and cut out the shapes, score where the dotted lines are and fold. Cut out where the screens will be as this is where you will put your pictures or greetings.

Stick a piece of acetate over each of the screen spaces and then your picture or write your message or greeting. It might mean you trying to fold the box shapes together so you get your message the correct way up as one faces away from the large edge and the other towards it and I’m not sure which is which sorry.(useless teacher or what!)

Now fold and stick your boxes leaving open one side as these flaps form the hinge.

Slot one box into the other so the inside flap tucks into the top section and the flap from the top section drops over the back of the bottom section. It sounds complicated but it isn’t really. When the 2 boxes are folded as though the DS is closed the back flap should be visible like this. Stick it to the top section whilst the ‘DS’ is closed and hey presto you have a hinge.

Your Ds now just needs the finishing touches of buttons which is a cross shape and 2 little round circles you can use bits from a hole punch, I think you can see them on the one I did for my son’s birthday but no doubt you could get a picture off the internet if you don’t have a DS in your house to look at . Hope these make some kind of sense and if you do try have fun. This picture doesn’t give a very good example as my tape didn’t stick well but hopefully you get the idea.

What is your favourite craft medium?
I suppose if I had to narrow down my favourites I would have to say rubber stamping and embossing powder but I also love messing with paper and just creating images from that alone. I do like most things crafty though and other things I love that give fast and gratifying results are encaustic wax pictures and silk painting. I tend to go through phases as to what I like doing best. My son said when I told him the question “There isn’t anything you don’t like mum so how can you have a favourite.”
What is your favourite scrap item or tool?
Oh I think I’ll have to be greedy and say I couldn’t survive without my craft knife, scissors and double sided tape. I try to be very frugal and buy wide tape and then score down the tape around the spool lengthways to make narrow strips that way my tape lasts 4 times as long. It was fiddly at first but now it’s just second nature. I sound mean and stingy don’t I but it saves pennies for other goodies.
What is your favourite paper line / company?
I don’t have any special favourite I just buy papers I like when I see them, but then I don’t like using them as I don’t want to cut into them so they end up in my son’s scrapbooks so I still have them or on special cards for people I know will really appreciate them.
What is your favourite colour?
Ah an easy question I have 2, turquoise and crisp clean white.
How do you have your scrap room decorated? Colours, themes, homey, contempory, etc?
My scrap room is pale matt blue light reflective paint on wallpaper that has a tiny square pattern. It use to be my husband’s study so the cupboards are covered in silver wrapping paper that is holographic prisms. It sounds awful but I don’t even notice it and it reflects light. It was a remnant from when we decorated my hubby’s study as I tried to use fung shui and that part of the house needed silver, grey and domes for good karma. It’s surprising but I can honestly say I have never in my whole 16 years of marriage never had an argument with my hubby so it must have something in it.
Are you an animal person? Do they have a place in your scrap room?
Yes I am an animal person although we don’t have any pets at the moment. I grew up with dogs at home and brought my last dog with me when I got married, sadly she is no longer with us, although I have her picture on my craft room wall, and I made an album recently of all my past pets, it’s amazing how many fur and feathered friends I’ve had.
Even though I have no pets of my own I have dog chews in my car for the neighbours dogs who spend as much time at my house as theirs and when I go to my mum’s a neighbour’s cat comes to say hello as do several of her neighbours dogs, Paddy a Dalmatian got quite confused when I changed cars.
What is my favourite Disney movie? Do you watch TV /Movies while working? Do you get inspiration from them?
My favourite Disney movie is ‘The Santa Clause’ I think its Disney, which I have watched every year with my son in the run up to Christmas it’s become a bit of a tradition. I don’t watch TV or movies in my craft room but if I’ve some cutting out or colouring in or knitting to do in the lounge then yes. Inspiration comes from everywhere so I can’t say no I don’t get inspiration but I can’t think of anything specific to say yes either.
Sweet or Savoury snack?
I’m definitely a savoury girl I’m not even bothered by chocolate.
Scary or Romantic movies?
Definitely romantic my favourites being Pretty Woman, Brigadoon and the first movie I saw with my hubby (to be as he was then) Sleepless in Seattle.
Beach or Snow vacation?
I would say beach but I’ve never been on a snow vacation. When we were first married we planned our holiday I wanted sunshine hubby wanted snow as he had recently learnt to ski. I won on the proviso that our next holiday would be a snow holiday, it never happened as I became pregnant and that changes everything as holidays become family orientated then. My hubby has since decided most of our holiday destinations and has never mentioned snow, so I can’t really say I wouldn’t prefer snow if I tried it.
Favourite type of music?
I’m a girl of the late 70’s and 80’s but like some 60’s and some modern too. It depends if you can understand what the singer is saying more than anything. I also like Bluegrass and found a band that does rock songs with a bluegrass twist and I can now understand all the words of some heavy rock songs the band is called Hay Seed Dixie give them a try you might find something new to listen to.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and since we have almost all been touched by Breast Cancer either directly or indirectly we hope you love our little Breast Cancer Awareness Bear set. This is a new thing for us, there is a completed image then there are Parts N Pieces for you to use to create your OWN image. The Bear Paws have been put into one file so that you can size them and keep both the same size. What is your favorite craft medium?
I don't have favourites, just things I love using! I go through phases with things I use..... at the moment, I am using Twinkling H2O's a lot. But I ALWAYS have a project of card embroidery and beads on the go.

What is your favorite scrap item/tool?
My favourite item/tool would be my Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife. Followed closely by Keepsake Embossing Boards.

What is your favorite paper line/company? I love K & Co, and Kaiser (an Aussie company...yay!)

What is your favorite color(s)? No favourites. I do a lot in brights, earthy, heritage and 'gem' colours. I don't do a lot in pastels.

How do you have your scraproom decorated? Ha ha ha... at the moment it is disorganised chaos - everything is in boxes, awaiting furniture and tables. I currently have my necessary items in my scrap-trolley, and work out of that (delving into storage boxes when the need arises). My room is as it was when we bought the house a very pale pink, with a white wall 2 wall, ceiling 2 floor storage set and ivory lace curtains. I haven't thought of decoration yet, only functionality!

Are you an animal person? I love animals. Our wee doggie Sam, a whippet X Jack Russell is usually wherever I am, and has a cushion he sleeps on when I am crafting.

What is your favorite Disney movie? Again, no real favourites, but I love the Lion King.

Do you watch movies/tv while working? Yes, I do, but I don't take inspiration from them, unless it's DIY Scrapbooking with Sandy G! My inspiration comes from haberdashery (I love fabrics, beads, buttons, ribbons), papers, other bloggers, and magazines.

Sweet or Savory snacks? Can't decide. I love both!

Scary or Romantic movies?
Romantics, I guess.... but I love classic scary movies (which aren't real scary anyway!)

Beach or Snow vacations?
Neither really. Although my last holiday was my honeymoon, and that was in the south pacific. I'm more of a country/mountain/desert person. But if anyone would like to pay my fare to California, Florida, or Cancun, I'd gladly accept!

Favorite type of Music?
60s, 70s, 80s, country, cajun, classical, swing, world (salsa, gypsy, South American etc).

New Releases!! Get Ready to be Amazed!

Today (yes, it was supposed to be yesterday!!) we release a really cute Fairy Set and a Doggie Christmas! We have been asked by our Design Team to try and create more People Stamps so Robin stepped up and created the Fairy. When I try to create people they are always scary! Never works!!! So, I will stick to bears and puppies! LOL

Erin Bailey of Scrap Stamp and be Merry used All I Want For Christmas to create a wonderful Christmas card for the Pet Lover! Look at all the detail! Love the embossing! She popped the top portion of the tree on foam dots for a raised appearance! The ribbons, button and felt snowflakes add SO much!

Heather C of Mrs Momma used the Large Mushroom from the Fairy Set to create a REALLY FUN card to give to her husband. He is a really FUNgi!! Very Clever, Heather! It is nice to see that a very feminine set can also hold elements that can be used in other ways.

Jan Jackman of Jans Cards Crafts and Musings created two cards this week! She used the Fairy Set with delicate pastel colors to create a SUPER SWEET Happy Birthday Card! Perfect for any little girl! Love the flowers and the embossed ribbon!
She also used All I Want For Christmas, some fun Christmas Tree shaped brads and a dry embossed photo mat! Very Cute! Love the glitter garland on the tree Jan!

Joanne of Crafting Joanne used a scalloped square card as a base which adds the effect of a lace border. She also used deep red and hunter green instead of the traditional red and green. She used both colors to ink the edges. I love the non traditional patterned paper as well! Creates a very elegant Christmas card! NICE JOB Joanne! Thanks for showing us that you don't have to go out and purchase Christmas paper to make a stunning Christmas card! I really LOVE the puppy's little white chest! =)

Lisa Buttafuoco of Our 2 Angels in Heaven used the Mushrooms from the Fairy Set to create this THANKS card that would work for ANYONE!! This is another example of taking a girly set and turning it into a non gender specific item! The colors in this card are very warm, the stitching is WONDERFUL and the dew drops add a little sparkle without overwhelming this clean and simple creation! Very Nice!!

Maria Matter of Joyful Stamper created two example cards for you all this week! Fairy MAKE A WISH is done in great bright girly colors with Lots of Glitter, dainty ribbon and dew drops! She is just GORGEOUS Maria! She also used the Mushroom from this same set to create a very clean and simple HELLO card. Again, a touch of glitter, a thin satin ribbon, a couple of buttons and scored (embossed) lines framing the ribbon make this a SUPER card! THANKS Maria!

Tracy Jackson of Stamping Seasons used the Fairy Set to create this SUPER FUN Criss Cross card! I LOVE these!! If you have never created one there is a wonderful tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers. I will try to find the link and add it! The patterened papers here are so much fun! And you get to use SO many on these fun cards! Love the polka dot ribbon, the ribbon slide (it is just perfect!) and the way the Fairy's wings "Jump" off the page! Great Job Tracy!

Tracey Feeger of Booya Girl used the Fairy set this week! LOVE the clean lines on this card! LOVE the colors and the patterened papers! She cut the FLOWERS and the BUTTERFLY from the paper and used them as embellishments! Great idea!! Your coloring is fantastic! This card would make someone really HAPPY!

Viv Pert of Doggone Crazy created a Puppy Christmas card this week! Love the deep rich colors! Lots of patterens going on for interest and shimmers from the glitter on the star, dog bone ornaments and puppy's hat as well as the ruby red rhinestones. This week our Princess-for-a-Day (Guest Designer) is Sheryl Greene!! She would like everyone to create a THANK YOU card with a really cool technique that can be used on ANY card!!

Create a Thank you card.

You must include ribbon as an accent anywhere on your card.

Now for the fun part - on your base card we will use plastic wrap as texturing on card stock.

Take a piece of the wrap, bunch it up. Tap it into paint or your stamp pad and pounce it on your card stock.

Let dry and use as a back drop to your image. Here is Sheryl's example card! Make sure you click on it to make it larger so you can see all the detail this neat plastic wrap technique creates! Thanks SO MUCH for teaching us this GREAT technique Sheryl!

Are you an animal person? Yes - I love cats. Do they have a place in your scraproom? We have one cat - Bella, he sits on the window sill where I craft and occasionally steals my crafting chair! A couple times I have caught him eating my glitter! Can you image.
What is your favorite Disney movie? Beauty and the Beast. Reason is - when my daughter was born in 1990 - we bought that first movie and it is her favorite. When ever I hear the opening or watch the movie - I get choked up. Our daughter is now in her 2nd year of college.
Do you watch TV/Movies while working? Not generally, the other half of our small basement - I have set up as a game/TV room for our boys. So they have movies on all the time and I sneek a peek. They pick some good ones I would not usually watch. Do you get your inspiration from them? No, my inspiration comes from magazines and other bloggers
Sweet or Savory snacks? Sweet. have you tried the sweet andsalty mix by Nabisco. Or how about the mix by Chex? Yumm!
Scary or Romantic movies? Romantic, I can't watch the scary movies- I don't like bad things to happen.. Yes it's only a movie.... LOL
Beach or Snow vacations? Well, living in MA (USA) we get enough cold and snow - so I would have to say Sunny days... we go to FL every Feb to escape the cold winter for a week.

I'm Jude. Married with 2 daughters. I live in the uk and have been crafting for 17years (addicted is not the word) from cardmaking, scrapbooking altered art.

What is your favorite craft medium? I love tim holyz products
What is your favorite scrap item/tool? wouldnt be without my big bite use it daily fab for scrapbooking
What is your favorite paper line/company? This is a hardone as theres few SU,Basic grey,DCWV K&co love them all
What is your favorite color(s)? my fave colours are pink &brown combo and i adore Autumn colours
How do you have your scraproom decorated? Colors, themes, homey, contempo, etc. My scrap room is decorated with neutral soft cappacino coloured paint ,daylight light,french doors looking out onto large garden.I like to keep tidy but who has a craft room thats tidy...lol well some of the time.Photos of my daughters and hubby on the wall plus all cards ive received from fellow crafters.
What is your favorite Disney movie? Do you watch TV/Movies while working? Do you get your inspiration from them? Fav disney movie has to be "Mary Poppins "i love it was first movie i got m daughters only so i could watch it!
Sweet or Savory snacks? Has to be savory as not sweet toothed person.
Scary or Romantic movies? love both scary and romantic but romantic at heart.
Beach or Snow vacations? Beach vacations went skiing once not my scene didnt like !too cold ...
Fav music i enjoy all sorts of music very much soul, mowtown person though.
